Plot

It all starts in Washington in 1870. Matt Montgomery has an important post in the Ministry of the Interior… he has a nice, comfortable, uneventful life, typical of a high-level civil servant. But one evening returning home he discovers his wife lying on the staircase, slaughtered in the most horrifying manner. Even worse, his daughter has been murdered in exactly the same way, bar a strange star that’s been carved into her flesh. But who committed this crime, and above all, why? Matt Montgomery embarks on the search for the murderer, in the Wild West of the United States…
