The purpose of this free book was to get people excited for the summer event of 2022 with the teenage mutant Ninja turtles. And it paid homage to the original creatives and what they did. It's a nice mirage, I like to say, to what the turtles were when they started with the original creators and where they will continue to go with the new direction. For me personally this was my first turtles comic I just happen to get it for free comic book day and it made me want to pick up more.
