Plot
The truth about the White Crane Temple has been a carefully guarded secret in China for hundreds of years -- told only by women to other women. Now, their greatest warrior has been sent to Los Angeles to continue their mission: training women to fight back against the world of men.
To most L.A. residents, Mei Yin seems to be a young abbess presiding over a new Buddhist Temple in Los Angeles' Chinatown. But look closer, and you will find her using her remarkable Kung Fu skills to defend the innocent from those who would do them harm. Look even closer, and you'll see a woman who is haunted by her dark past and isn't sure if she's worthy of the responsibility the sisters at the White Crane temple have entrusted her with.
But after rescuing Heather Turner from an attack and taking in a terrified Chinese girl hiding from human traffickers, she doesn't have time to worry about her worthiness. After the temple is attacked twice by the trafficking ring, Mei Yin teams up with a hot-headed police detective to hunt down and stop the traffickers once and for all.
Unfortunately, her dark history still has an influence, even here in America, and Mei Yin could be fighting not only against the criminals, but her own past, as well.
