Spanish fly is known world over as a love potion (specifically, a love potion that contains cantharides—a supposed aphrodisiac). More recently, Spanish Fly is employed as a clever title for this adults only, black-and-white anthology series from Eros Comix that serves as both genre identifier and tie-in to point of origin (this series was originally published in Barcelona, Spain in the mid 90s).
The women here are rendered beautifully. The panel sequences display a tasteful balance between the graphic and the imagination. The stories are multi-leveled, rich in characterization. Series creator Tobalina shows expert skill as writer and artist allowing this title to succeed as top-of-the-line erotica.
