Plot
Rock-It Comix got underway in late 1993, launching rock-star comics featuring Lita Ford, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, and World Domination Enterprises. In contrast to the “unauthorized and proud of it” Rock ‘n’ Roll Comics, the Rock-It titles were all developed with the cooperation of the artists they featured.
Lita Ford: The Queen of Heavy Metal is a rock and roll fantasy starring the ex-Runaways guitarist and enduring rock favorite. Lita is shown here trying to get through another gig, while jousting with Libby Snore (a thinly disguised version of Tipper Gore) and the PMRC (the Parents’ Music Resource Center—an organization that promoted the labeling of certain records as containing offensive lyrics). All this was bad enough, then Libby decided to up the stakes and use witchcraft to make Lita out to be a Satan worshiper. As it turns out, Lita has a few surprises of her own…
