Plot

The intrigue continues in this Harvey Award nominated 'Best New Series' as Kevin Matchstick and crew fend off a new supernatural threat -- this time from within. Seduced and enchanted by a succubus, Joe Phat has a hard time keeping his mind on the mission at hand. The Pendragon, more determined than ever to search out the mysterious lair of the Pale Incanter, fails to notice his friend's distracted fever. Forswearing to request aid of the other warriors, Kevin still must contend with the addled Wally Ut, who continues to confuse with his mystical ramblings and confound with his apparent lack of magistry. Into this chaotic mix arrives an old friend, The Presbyter -- John Strider X, who cheerily joins Kevin's mission to the underworld. All plans are disrupted though by the sudden, apparent disappearance of Joe Phat!
