Great issue. Didn’t realize the STACKED writing team on this book. Johns, Morrison, Rucka and Waid??? Damn. There’s a real weight and darkness that runs throughout the book, even in moments of joy they are tempered with grief. I forgot that this is so closely linked with infinity crisis and Conner’s death. I love Superboy. He was always my third favorite hero, but something now makes me feel he would have been a more helpful presence in the Superman universe as a dead person, similarly to the way Jason was in the Bat family. Superman could use a little something dark pushing him. Obviously he is the light to Batman’s dark, but similar to dick Grayson, it would be nice to see that Clark can have this incredible loss in his life and not only rise above it but further inspire him to the light. You know it’s a good comic when I use up Wakooms character limit on a 22 page comic book starring a doofus who is sponsored by “Soder Cola” bwaahahaha.
