Leaving Thousand Valley for Alterna, Haruhiro and team are attacked on the road by massive ape-like monsters that force them to flee to a hidden orc village for safety. Meanwhile, a volunteer soldier lies on the verge of death in the mountains, recalling fragments of the world he once inhabited.
