Plot
Collects Berserk volume 37-39
Guts the Black Swordsman and company reach the island of Skellig in hopes than Elven magic can heal the afflicted mind of Casca, but first they must face the island’s terrifying magical defenses. If they can pass through and reach Elfhelm, the Flower Storm Monarch of the Elves can perform the ritual that might free Casca. But failure will mean their long, perilous journey will have been for nothing!

Este tomo es excelente. Venimos de storylines que se alargaron demasiado debido al exceso de relleno. Estoy seguro que para alguna gente lo que yo llamo relleno para ellos es worldbuilding igual de esencial que el desarrollo de la historia principal. Sin duda es asi para Miura, que volcó en la obra de su vida absolutamente todo lo que estaba en su cabeza. Es dificil encontrar algun tropo de la fantasía al que no le haya dedicado al menos algunas páginas. Normalmente hubiera dicho que volver a Rickert es un desvio innecesario, pero Miura lo utiliza no solo para el sino para avanzar las historias de varios personajes que habían quedado perdidos y empezarlos a setear lo que ya se siente como el arco final, y digo esto por fuera del hecho fatal que conocemos todos. Kentaro aprovecha para divertirse un poco antes de que todo volviera a ser oscuro además, y dibujar un monton de duendes, elfos y monstruitos mucho mas amigables que sus habituales demonios.
