Plot

Under siege by armed federal agents in a fortified Phoenix house, "Devil Kid," "Bad Momma," "Sick Twist," and Lola wait out a dark night of the soul with Story. Story knows he has only six hours to make good on his deal with Old Asa and deliver a new Billy Bad News tale, or Martin is dead at dawn. But with Jenny cool on him, Ruth in Taos, and the outrageous Nurse Dolores unattainable on his father's team, it looks like it's down to Lola put some lead in his pencil and inspire his reluctant creativity.
