Collects Clear (2023 Dark Horse) #1-3.

In the not-too-distant future, mankind no longer sees the world as it truly is. The invention of neurological filters has made it so one can view reality however they may choose-Old Hollywood monochrome, zombie apocalypse, anime... the possibilities are endless. Neo-shamus Sam Dunes is one of only a handful who choose to live without a filter. When the death of an old flame reveals foul play, Dunes is set on a wild and twisting mystery that will take him from the city's deadly underworld to the even deadlier heights of wealth and power.

Highly anticipated, brand-new franchise (from Snyder & Manapul) which was personally long desired. Even though NORMA is likely to release it in several days, I decided to purchase DARK HORSE's TPB (because of its 70% OFF price between both editions). Firstly, worldbuiding and characterization are great. Pretty much like watching Johnny Mnemonic whilst listening to The Midnight. Too CyberDARK. So SynthWAVE. Placed on Frisco in the Year 2052, AR meets Filtering so as Society could still get along with Reality. Neurally, people's weapon of choice (skins) lead to separation and lies. But Detective Sam is on charge of truth-seeking and liberation. Interesting premises, all embellished by some wondrous artwork. Loved his killer THE FLASH run. Once again, Francis delivers tight drawings plus superb colour application (alternating whether rich palette or bitone) throughout all issues, matching Scott's storyline to a T. All in all, such a good Noir trip. Veil™, Fantasy... Ethics‼️ #REC🏍MMENDED
