Argumento
Cankor began in 2011 as a web comic and over the last decade has been published in 8 single issues, partially collected in a trade paperback from AdHouse Books in 2020. These comics are now out of print and the time has come for all of this material to be presented in one beautiful book.
This work started out as a simple parody of Silver and Bronze Age superhero comics but very quickly transformed into a surreal take on the Autobiographical genre with a focus on obsessiveness, addiction and emotional disorders.
I've decided that a DIY approach to publishing this book was the most appropriate way for me to present what I've created given that the core subtext of Cankor is the idea of rebuilding yourself, stronger and better. This comic has become an outlet for me to grow as an artist and as a human being in general so it feels right to craft this collection myself with the help of readers who might identify with its themes and goals.
