Readers craving action need search no more—Fantasy General Comics was created just for you. With its flagship title, Terranauts, the Pennsylvania-based independent publisher focuses on a genre that has long been ignored in the world of comics—pure, unadulterated action/adventure.
Reminiscent of the Spielberg classic Jurassic Park and the comic book Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Terranauts tells the story of two wayward expeditions (the Deveraux and Kramarov expeditions) that are forced to combine their teams in order to survive a chilling world that they’ve accidentally stumbled into. It’s a world that exists on a tri-dimensional plane with portals opening into present day Earth (allowing for their “accidental” entrance), Earth’s past (accounting for the villainous dinosaurs) and an unknown world/time period (allowing for several other strange and alien creatures). Together, the scientists desperately struggle to uncover the mysteries behind the portals and find a way back home.
The four-page backup story, “Tales of the Baltimore Gun Club,” rounds out the action-themed book in classic period piece style.
