"Gambit: Out of the Frying Pan," script by Chris Claremont, pencils by Mike Collins, inks by Joe Rubinstein; Gambit debuts as a pretty crafty fellow as he helps a juvenile Storm escape from the Shadow King and schools her in some of the tricks of the Thieves Guild. "Death By Drowning," script by Chris Claremont, pencils by Marc Silvestri, inks by Dan Green; Mr. Sinister debuts with one of the silliest names in super-villaindom, but turns out to be an uber-baddie as the leader of the Marauders and the mastermind behind the Mutant Massacre. "And Now... The Wolverine!", script by Len Wein, pencils by Herb Trimpe, inks by Jack Abel; Wolverine debuts as the short, feral Canadian scrapper we have all come to know and love.
