Mender, Krim, Drub, Flam and Shuna witness Zhantee die in Cutter's arms; Aroree leaves the rest of the wolfriders in order to find and deliver Skywise and Timmain to the SHARDs; Meanwhile, Venka Winnowill and a knocked-out Rayek are in the SHARDroom, and the Grohmul Djun is enraged at his half-human-elf lover's deceit; The moment the Zhantee enters oneness with The High-Ones, he delivers a force-shield that prevents a deathblow from the human ruler.
