Collects Gotham Central (2003-2006) #1-40.

Gotham City: a town teeming with corrupt cops, ruthless crime lords, petty thieves ... and just a small handful that would oppose them. Grizzled veteran Harvey Bullock, Captain Maggie Sawyer, Detective Renee Montoya and the GCPD are the law force that stands between order and complete anarchy. Gotham's Finest work around the clock to not only keep the world's most psychotic criminals off the street... but also cleaning up the mess left behind by Batman's one-man war on crime. Written by critically acclaimed authors Ed Brubaker (Captain America) and Greg Rucka (52, Detective Comics), this Eisner Award-winning series follows the detectives of Gotham City's Special Crimes Unit as they navigate against the city's greatest villains--in the shadow of Batman himself. This Eisner Award-winning series is now available in its entirety in this Omnibus edition.

Excelente tomo, una dupla soberbia en los guiones de Rucka y Brubaker y un impecable arte mayoritariamente manejado por Michael Lark que le entrega una impronta noir. Imperdible para cualquier fan de la narrativa gráfica

Superb storytelling by Noir Greats Brubaker & Rucka. Being fond of the second to none TV Series, their work here IS without doubt inspired by The Wire (aired simultaneously). Plots and scenarios reminisce that same kind of vibes, characters plus relationships too. Both writers connect the routinary tasks involving Law & Order along with the Batsy Lore. Located in a gloomy Gotham City, corruption and crime jeopardize citizens and guardians who suffer from villainy; not only in respect of Batman's all-time evildoers but also inside GCPD itself. Regarding the visual side, Lark delivers purely straight, raw (while steady) illustration style. Just what is needed: shadowy as well as rough. You never got off action. Michael knows how to put tension thru composition and perspective so panels relate day/night activity like a charm. His Covers are way too iconic. 40 Issues proving why DC owns the "Detective" Before "Comics". Arguably one of the BEST perusals I've ever tasted.#S👮‍♂FarS🕵‍♂G🦇📚d
