El tomo incluye la historia principal y los números siguientes que enlazan con "Legacy", aunque sus tramas no tengan mucho que ver. "Contagion" es una historia entretenida, que bebe de relatos clásicos como "La máscara de la muerte roja" y no lo oculta. Al mismo tiempo es una caza del tesoro y añade un punto de emoción al enfermar uno de los miembros de la batfamilia. Al igual que con la primera parte de "Knightfall", el evento salta de serie en serie sin errores de continuidad y lo único que hace ver que no es una miniserie es el baile de dibujantes y entintadores.
