There, the two girls search for the culprit while also guarding Saint Nevissa Vernalia. The Blind-Eyed Saint is a beacon of kindness and compassion, taking in and caring for “demon-touched” children ostracized by society. While the girls make one startling discovery after another, Alicia is unexpectedly contacted by Veil Croitzen, a shadowy figure claiming to be the culprit behind the murders.
