With the talks to relinquish Van concluded, Souma returns to the Kingdom to meet face-to-face with the primary culprit of the rebellion, Georg Carmine. When Souma presses Georg about reasons for committing such a crime, the man remains silent. Refusing to talk, and no recourse left, the once famed general is offered "poisoned wine" as a means of atonement...

Following this, Castor Vargas, the remaining culprit in the rebellion, is put to trial.
